Thanks! I'm going to try the needle with the larger head tips. Maybe that will make easier the metallic thread to go through the fabric too.

Thanks for the tips there is one thing i do that really helps that is threading just one strandin the needle and then double it and start by tucking down the end that way my needle is in a loop an does not fray the thread, when i finish I tuck down the end and cut the needle loose

I find it helpful to pull the metallic thread itself, and not solely use the needle to pull it up once the needle is fully threw the fabric.I find this prevents the fraying of the metallic thread at the point where it touches the eye of the needle.
