Water erasable pen

Is any one using the Water erasable fabric marking pen to draw squares on the fabric for easier cross stitch?

I am using the water eraser pen from Jpan and it disappear in 2 days. It is more like air eraser... I have also tried the pen made in China, which look like normal pen and they are always there. Soaking in tape water 10min can erase all the marks

Oh wow this is all great information. I didn't realise about the frixion pens. I've been hunting around for ages for something to use and have one of those other in my pencil case. Guess i will try trialing it out now. Thank you so much

Я не пользуюсь разметкой. Но, иногда я ставлю точку в центре исчезающим маркером. И действительно, он исчезает в течении суток.

It's called gridding. I think a lot of people do it for cross stitch but not everyone. I do :)

I am using it on my really big piece.I do not use it for small or average size pieces.

I use fishing line for mine as I don't trust the ink will come out.   Just cautious!   I do have the frixion pens though and plan on testing my fabric!

I'm using it on smaller pieces. I'm always afraid that my long term works won't be "washable" ;p

I grid my fabric with Pilot Frixion pen all the time. It's fast to draw the grids, and it's even faster to erase the ink. Just heat you fabric with a clothes iron and the ink will become transparent. I know a lot of quilters use these pens to draw patterns and such.

Frixion pens work likemagic. I've been using these pens for almost 2 years now and I threw away all my water soluble markers a long time ago. LOL.

I've never used a grid or maked off my fabric and I've done some really large projects that required a full yard of linen.I might grid if I ever did a HEAD chart.I would not use a pen but would use some type of thread or maverick floss to do the gridding.
