All depend on what you want. I've used the owly.wordpress.com/2007/08/27/amigurumi-hair-tutorial/ method above for 'neatly ordered hair and the freshstitches.com/how ... amigurumi-tutorial/ so that I could adapt it for bangs, plaits, etc.
It is a matter of experimenting and finding the 'right one' for the look you want ! Good Luck!:lol I use this yarn. Dial a chain of stitches and sew around to the doll's head. Hair is getting real.

if you search on Google for "hair scrunchies made of hair" you will find the ones I use
I carefully cut the middle and take the elastic out and try to straighten them, this will give you a straight threat of real hair and I sew it of glow it on my dolls head, I hope this helped thanks and enjoy :) Thanks!!!!!!!
