ROW 1: ✽K1, yo, rep. from ✽ to last st, k1.
ROW 2: K across.
Rep. ROWS 1 & 2 once more.
ROW 5: ✽(K1, yo) twice, pm, rep. from ✽ twice more, (k1, yo) twice, k1.
ROW 6: K across.
ROW 7: K1, yo, ✽k to marker, yo, sm, k1, yo, rep. from ✽ twice more, k to last st, yo. k1
Rep. ROWS 6 & 7 until shawl is desired length.
2. Circular
8 increases every 4th row 3. Triangular
ROW 1: ✽K1, yo, rep. from ✽ to last st, k1.
ROW 2: K across.
Rep. ROWS 1 & 2 once more.
ROW 5: ✽(K1, yo) twice, pm, rep. from ✽ twice more, (k1, yo) twice, k1.
ROW 6, 7 & 8: K across.
ROW 9: K1, yo, ✽k to marker, yo, sm, k1, yo, rep. from ✽ twice more, k to last st, yo, k1
Rep. ROWS 6-9 until shawl is desired length.
3.Triangular
4 increases every other row.
ROW 1: ✽K1, yo, rep. from ✽ to last st, k1.
ROW 2: K across.

4. Semi-Circlar
6 increases every 4th row.

I have to try this method of increasing for a circular shawl. I would like to avoid the stretched rounds I get with a pi shawl pattern. Thank you for sharing! This is really useful!
