velcro for threads

Edited by anniekins at 2015-9-15 03:58

Have discovered if you pull your threads through the soft side of velcro, it will smooth your threads out. The more times you pull through the smoother it gets.

When you say the soft side, do you mean the hook or the loop side? I can see pulling through the hook side, but I'm not sure if that would make the thread smoother. But the loop end doesn't really have anything to pull thread through... please explain! I'm constantly having to buy my own thread when I use cheap little kits that come with awful frayed thread. This would be a life saver! :o

the hook side will separate the strands. the loop side will smooth the thread out and help to straighten the thread. Saw this some where else and tried it
its worked for me
