Storage
How does everyone store their fabric?Do you indiviualy wrap them?Do you fold them or roll them up so there aren't any creases? I fold my linens and store them in a resealable plastic bag by counts and color (neutral vs non neutral color). So each count has 2 bags, for example 32 ct linens are stored in 2 bag based on the color (neutral and colors). in addition, I separate all white linens and store them in one bag regardless the counts. static/image/common/user_online.gif xsmom214 static/image/common/clock.gif 2011-7-6 08:26I rarely use aida anymore so it's hanging from a "pants hanger" in my bedroom closet. The linens I...
oh! love the idea of a glass front cabinet :) je les roule puis le tout dans un sac le plus noir possible et le tout a l'abri de la lumierepour eviter le "jaunissement" I keep it all the way it came when I purchased it.Aida usually comes rolled, but the specialty cuts usually are folded. je les roule puis le tout dans un sac le plus noir possible et le tout a l'abri de la lumiere The website I buy from sells them in labelled zipocks, so I just keep them that way. I roll them to avoid creases, and just use an elastic hair tie to keep them wrapped. I fold them, and keep them all with me in a case I carry to stitch out and about I fold them and put them in plastic bags I only use linnen never used Aida. I fold them, and keep them all with me in a case I carry to stitch out. I store my fabric in ziploc bags in a special drawer.I don't have very many pieces, since I usually buy my fabric for a specific project and use it immediately. I STORE MY FABRIC IN ZIPLOC BAGS, TOO.THEY ARE FOLDED INTO FAT QUARTER SIZES. THEN I KEEP ALL OF MY FABRIC IN SEE THROUGH PLASTIC TOTES...I USUALLY BUY MY FABRIC WHEN IT'S ON SALE... I roll my aida and fold the others. I keep all of my fabric in a plastic bin in the closet. As for me I roll my fabrics and put them in a tube, I don't like folded aida. I also keep them in plastic bags and then in a plastic tote. It's the only way I can store it all. thank you never thought of storing in ziplock bags, what a fantastic idea I usually only buy aida in plastic tubes and so the storage is there already. as for you, i store them in ziploc ^^ with a lil card inside saying what type of fabric it is and if i started stitching, the name of the project so i remember ^^ I rarely use aida anymore so it's hanging from a "pants hanger" in my bedroom closet. The linens I use all the time are in a glass front cabinet in my sewing room.I'm so happy to be able to say that:loveliness:It took MANY YEARS to have a sewing room.
