I have always backstitched my name and the piece completion date onto the edge of the picture, (that will wrap behind the card I lace the picture onto as I frame it).
If it's a big piece I've started including the Chart name/or designer too. I think it's a great idea to record who we are, and what we stitched and when!

Yo siempre pongo mi nombre y el año en que lo finalizo en la esquina inferior derecha, normalmente a pespunte.
Hay que firmar todas nuestras obras como los grandes artistas jajajajajaj
I always stitch at least my initials and the four-digit year on my pieces. Anything I frame, I write my full name and other details like pattern name on the back. I use a very small backstitch font so it's not very noticeable but can be seen.
I've never signed my works. I made many works for charity, I made many small projects. Maybe some big project for my family - I like the idea about backstitching inicials in some not dark color "invissibly" or stitch it on the edge under frame, so it is not directly visible.
Never done this, but since I've started working on some big pieces I wanted to. Maybe something small in a corner, like say 2 to 3 stitches tall sound about right.
