after making the eyes by embroidery or crochet with or without a button try to put transparent nail polish layer and keep it till its dry, I loved the effect, I hope this helped and enjoy :)

I tried needlefelting the eyes on, but it was often asymmetrical no matter how I tried, and it was easy to damage needlefelted elements, so nowadays I just either crochet and sew the eyes on, or use embroidery

I usually buy safety eyes for mine, but if it is for an infant, I use a french knot to make them.

If it's for a infant I will embroider the eyes and for a older child I will use safety eyes.:)

i usually do them in embrodery, but if you looks like a realistic render, you should take safety eyes, there are so many colors and aspects. I'm sure you would find one you like

i agree, embrodery give you the possibility to make them more expressives ;) and you're welcome  Post time 2015-4-9 18:52
I went to look at some of those embroidered dolls and are much nicer. The dolls are more expressive. anyway thanks  Post time 2015-4-8 21:13
