#1 Mirabilia Halloween Fairy
This was one i finished last year and gave to my sister for Christmas because she loves halloween things. Its the Mirabilia Holidays Halloween Fairy, but i converted it into DMC and changed some colours, such as adding metallic threads, colour variations in the top and bottom wings, etc. I also changed the beads that were used.
The border is made up from several different designs. I used a rough design from another mirabilia pattern to make the pumpkin, and the bats are off a Halloween ornament.
It uses 25 different colours including beads, metallic threads and dmc flosses. The beads are MillHill and normal seed/crystal beads (As I have a lot of beads in my bead boxes). It was stitched on 14ct Grey Adia. With the stitched border, its 143^157.
Its framed in a 3d frame and i made the outside border out of orange and black ribbon and sequins. It was really good till some of the ribbon started coming up, but i didnt want to open the whole frame to reattach it all again lol.

Beautiful stitching love the creative way you added the border, pumpkin and bats.  You did a great job framing too.  I have the pattern in my stash this gives me incentive to start and maybe the courage the change/add to the design.  Thanks for sharing

#2 Couchman Creations Macaw
This was actually the first cross stitch I ever did, My mother bought me the chart around 2003 and I didnt finish it till 2006. I didn't really like cross stitch then and gave up after only doing a few stitches every time I tried to sit down and do it. It wasn't untill I hit uni in 2006 that I finally finished it, not sure how much the Lectures liked me doing cross stitch during class.
The pattern is made by Karen Couchman, an Australian Designer. She chose to complete it on 28 Count silver Quaker cloth with DMC cottons. As this was my fisrt pattern mum got me Pale grey adia so I could "find the right holes to make neat crosses". It is 116^207 and uses 28 colours (Me and mum did it in a mix of anchor and DMC).
I was so proud when I did finally finish it that I framed it, with out reading the instructions which turned into a disaster. But wen it finally did get framed it looked good.

#3 Dimensions Night Eyes
Dimensions Chart #00350 Night Eyes by Peter Kull was the second pattern I finished. I bought the chart and a corresponding material/thread pack in 2005 from a cross stitch magazine called Fox Collection that is avaliable in Australia.
I'm assuming the flass was DMC, but im not sure as the pack didn't specify. It is stitched on 14count black Adia and uses 18 different colours. The pattern is 182^141 stitches. The wolf is prodominantly full stitch, with some half stitch. The background it in half stitch. Stars are french knots (which were very annoying and kept pulling through!). There is quite a bit of backstitch on it, which provides details to the picture. I started it during the 2007/2008 Christmas Holidays, but then had to give it up during my final year of university. I started it up again in 2009 when I started at a TAFE collage, as I had a lot of breaks. I finished it in May 2009.
I did a better job framing this one than the first one lol. This pattern has been put up on the site by someone else for those who like it.

#4 Dimensions Family
This was another kit I'd bought through the fox collection. This Dimensions kit (06935 - Family) has cherryblossoms (my favourite flower) with the kanji symbol for family infront of it. It was a cute pattern that took 37 hours over 3 months (july 09 to september 09) to complete.
The pattern is done on Ivory 14 count adia and is 74^96 stitches. It uses 15 colours, and uses a combination of blends, 1/2 stitch, full stitch, french knots and backstitch. The floss was dimensions, as it came in the kit. This was another project I mainly did at my Tafe College.
